The Project
Bringing Mevale back to life.
Not by transforming it, but by revealing it.
The Genesis
Settled in Venice since 2014, it was during the summer of 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, THAT WE DISCOVERED the Mevale property, during an escape between two lockdowns.
The heart of the project is hospitality: opening the old casali to travelers, families, hikers, riders, and cyclists, offering them a rare immersion in a medieval setting. Staying at Mevale means inhabiting a centuries-old house, walking on stones trodden by lords of the past, feeling the continuity of a history still present.
Around this central hospitality, a palette of workshops and activities will unfold, driven by the seasons and opportunities. Already, many ideas are emerging: regional wine tastings, local cured meats and cheeses, welcoming cyclists from the Appennino Bike Tour or riders.
But Mevale is not just a place of welcome: it is also a collective project of sustainable investment. Everyone can participate, not as a simple visitor, but as a builder of a living ecosystem. Financial contributions are directly linked to the rebirth of the hamlet and the enhancement of its land.
What guides Mevale
The Medieval Stone
A millennial presence
Energy
Sun, earth, water, stone, wood
Agriculture
That cares for the earth as much as it nourishes us
Tourism
That does not consume, a resort that builds
The transmission of a place.
The Steps
Our project starts from a blank page: the land is still virgin of any cultivation. It is therefore a complete adventure that begins with the first clearing works, soil preparation, and planting. Each investor will be associated with this founding process.
